During the academy I got stuck in my painting process. This resulted in a 3 dimensional focus and lots of sculptural experiments during that time. In 2002 after a period of almost 3 years without painting i was ready for confronting the canvas again.

Something that started as a small renovation job has grown into a fascination for architecture and space. It is incredibale that you can actually make almost anyting that you can imagine. graduation project for the Rietveld Academy. For this last year I offered to use the abandoned toilet-block as my workspace. I spent 9 months and passed many stations, in the end the space had lost its initial function and was replaced by a living sculpture where you could enter and feel like Alice in Wonderland

In 2000 i spent 8 months of my artstudies in Lissabon. After 3 months i met someone who let me transform his house completely. I didn't leave a single square centimeter untouched.
